Destiny Baptist Church has historically been, and shall remain, a leader congregation. As a leader congregation will study and implement creative, relevant ministry. Destiny Baptist Church is a spiritual seedbed for personal discovery of Christian covenantal identity, community, meaning and hope throughout Martinsburg, West Virginia, the surrounding region and the world. The Vision is to be a Universal Christian missionary outpost- a place of equipping for servants in the Kingdom of God. The Apostolic mission and ministry of Destiny Baptist Church will grow, develop, advance and build within the will and purpose of God. 

Components

Administrative

To fulfill our calling our church must effectively organize and provide clear and careful communication of our message to all who care to listen. To challenge people to express personal stewardship of grace of God and to stay true to our stand. We are committed to fulfilling out calling through initiating and carefully organizing and supporting programs to accomplish clear purposes.

Church Creation

We believe that to fulfill the Great Commission we must start man effective churches. This requires a solid foundation based on prayerful research, development of appropriate support networks, the placing of people called by God to the ministry in the correct roles and the development of a model plan which considers all of the particular circumstance represented. Well conceived and properly executed each church inspires the founding of other churches.

Culture

We strive to understand people and their needs both within our church and the community so that we can address, in a culturally relevant way, the real needs of people. We seek to understand how people relate and respond within our church and provide leadership attuned to these needs.

Fellowship

We participate with each other in the family of God in many ways. As a faith community we welcome and integrate all who voluntarily choose to associate with, and support our vision, become involved in the process of personal growth and reach out to others with the truth that is found only in Jesus Christ.

Discipleship

We lead others to freely engage in the positive experience of the discovery of truth and obedience to that truth. This learning process involves knowledge of God's revelation, motivation to live out appropriate responses in the life, a commitment to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and encourage others to do the same.

Evangelism

We believe in the spreading the gospel from individual to individual, family to family, neighborhood to neighborhood, country to country and people group to people group with the intention of forming new churches to extend the mission. Each Christian is called to spread love and care to others by living out and sharing the good news personally, and participating in the global task of evangelism.

Leadership

We unite to entrust leadership of various aspects of the ministry to duly authorized (elected and/or appointed) people and oversight groups. We embrace the need for leaders with a variety of personalities and perspectives expressing all spiritual gifts through a clear structure that is transparent, understood, accepted and supported. We are committed to building the lives of individuals not just an organization.

Worship

We believe in worship as the privilege of entering the presence of God to adore Him and experience His total interest in our lives corporate worship is experienced in large and small group through various forms of creative expression and meeting with prayer and devotion.
